Further, with the recent invalidation of the Biden administration’s Title IX regulations, executive orders from the Trump administration, and guidance from the Department of Education, your institution’s investigators will need to be trained on conducting an investigation that is compliant with the current state of the law. Given the recent changes to the law and agency guidance, the heightened focus on enforcement of Title IX, and the increasing complexity of sexual misconduct matters, it is more important than ever that your Title IX/VAWA investigators are well trained and receive up-to-date information about the current legal landscape.
